Located in the heart of Southern Vosges, the city of Plombières-les-Bains is the ideal spot to discover the amazing Lorraine region and the Vosges massif.

Plombières-les-Bains offers entertainment for all tastes.

Reckless minds can try their luck at the casino, then get over it by eating at the restaurant Le Wagon ("the carriage") or another, and finally go for a walk in the Imperial park.

Sport fanatics can practise shooting, organised line fishing, organised hiking, Nordic walking; follow the sports course in the park and the forest; rent mountain bikes and quad bikes; play petanque for leisure or during competitions.

Fine Arts and History amateurs will visit the Louis Français museum (French painter of the XIXth century), the ancient Roman baths and thermal springs, as well as the great and nice church. On board a little white train, they will be able to discover the city, regarded as a historical monument, stroll further in the antique shops.

To relax, everyone can enjoy a variety of events such as dinner dance at the casino, concerts at the Espace Berlioz and the church. There are other numerous places to see such as the Calodae SPA centre, the park and its mini-golf, the miniature park, the riding school, pottery at Poterie Barnet, the swimming pool opened during summer... In winter, the Christmas market and end-of-year festivities draw a lot of people into the town.

Outside of Plombières, you can find other activities and tourist attractions.

It is particularly interesting to visit thermal cities nearby (Luxeuil-les-Bains, Bain-les-Bains, Vittel, Contrexéville) and ski resorts (Gérardmer, La Bresse, Ballon d'Alsace).

You can watch a show by the theatre company "les Piomères", admire the painting gallery, the Epinal imaging, the Vosges industry (sawmill, textile, confectionery ...), the crafts (Darney flatware, la Rochère glassworks, Bacarat crystal ...).

The summer is the right moment to take part in local and thematic parties (conferences, debates, concerts, folklore, fairs ...) and to rummage in flea markets.

A loop-course (3,5 km / 1h30) starting in Plombières-les-Bains (30 km away from Epinal and 40 km away from Gérardmer) is planned to cross Gérardmer lake, the crests road, Epinal imaging, channels flow (the Eastern channel), the Vosges mountain and the Alsatian hillside ("Route des vins" or Wines' road …).

Indeed, Plombières-les-Bains has recently got the status of "step village" (village étape), thanks to its diverse tourist services, hotels, restaurants and camp-sites.
